Above the cars is the same diner pictured earlier on this page (Highland 1935).
Also see the photo at the bottom of the page (High Falls Centre 1908), taken from the same location, but around 1908.

Circa 1860 Main St, New Paltz at the Wallkill River. This covered bridge was repalced with delicate looking iron bridge, and still later by the span now in place. This image is from the Ackert book of New Paltz photos showing the village from about 1860 to 1909.

New Paltz around 1910 is looking west down Main Street. Note the tracks of the Highland to New Paltz trolley that ran until 1925.

Saugerties postmarked “1909 Saugerties” and sent to Mr. WW Krom in High Falls, NY. The card is one of a large collection given to me by Joe and the late Jane Hill. The Kroms were relatives of Jane’s who thankfully saved all their postcards. The Accord card was also included.
